Last Thursday evening, the Sacramento Area UCLA Alumni Club hosted its second Networking Mixer this year. If you missed either one, you missed out on a great time with your fellow Bruins in the relaxed atmosphere of the Capitol Garage! The quesadillas and guacamole were delicious and the turnout was great! We filled two group tables with lots of fun and great conversation. We held a business card raffle for a bottle of wine donated by Angelica Gonzalez which was won by Paul Beard. There were several new members and faces at the mixer who enjoyed the evening, including Katie, a young alum, from Grass Valley. In addition, Patty and Rick Roth, our hosts for this year's Campus Connection, attended the fun after work mixer.

As we try to grow our Club this year and in the future, it is important for all local Bruins to remember that our Club currently puts on these fun events for free! We do this with funds generated from your Club membership dues. Membership cost very little and you can join or renew easily and in seconds. Join the fun!

The 2008 Sacramento UCLA Alumni Bus Trip is set!!!

• Come out and support the UCLA football team and our new coach, Rick Neuheisel as they take on the Cal Bears.
• Meet Joe and Josie Bruin along with 300+ UCLA Band members and the Spirit Squad (bring your camera)
• Feast on burgers, beer, mimosas and Diddy Riese cookies

You and your family are invited to join in the festivities with 1000+ fellow alumni as the Bay Area Bruins host our annual tailgate picnic prior to the UCLA vs. Cal football game! The Bruin Bash will be at the Greek Theatre walking distance from the stadium.

Agenda for Saturday October 25th:

• The bus will be leaving the Arden Fair Mall at 8am sharp. Please be there by 7:30 AM
• Game time has been set for 12:30PM. The Bruin Bash will open at 9:00 AM and close at 12:30 PM. The Band and Spirit Squad are expected to perform between 10:30 AM - 11:00 AM.
• The bus will depart Berkeley and be back at the Elephant Bar around 7 PM.

Ticket prices are as follows:

• $121 for current club members
• $131 for non club members

What does the cost include?

• Bus transportation to and from the game
• Game tickets in the UCLA section at the stadium
• Entry into the Bruin Bash (food and drinks provided)
• Soft Drinks on the Bus to and from the game

Sacramento UCLA Alumni Club

The Club, along with the University of Oregon alumni group, will be getting together to watch the Bruins and Ducks battle it our on the gridiron this Saturday. Come join the fun at M.V.P. Sports Grill, downtown Sacramento, at 7:00 PM.

Also, next Thursday is our quarterly Networking Mixer at Capitol Garage from 5:30 PM - 7:30 PM. Come enjoy some drinks, a few appetizers, and make important network connections with fellow Bruins.
