Last Thursday evening, the Sacramento Area UCLA Alumni Club hosted its second Networking Mixer this year. If you missed either one, you missed out on a great time with your fellow Bruins in the relaxed atmosphere of the Capitol Garage! The quesadillas and guacamole were delicious and the turnout was great! We filled two group tables with lots of fun and great conversation. We held a business card raffle for a bottle of wine donated by Angelica Gonzalez which was won by Paul Beard. There were several new members and faces at the mixer who enjoyed the evening, including Katie, a young alum, from Grass Valley. In addition, Patty and Rick Roth, our hosts for this year's Campus Connection, attended the fun after work mixer.
As we try to grow our Club this year and in the future, it is important for all local Bruins to remember that our Club currently puts on these fun events for free! We do this with funds generated from your Club membership dues. Membership cost very little and you can join or renew easily and in seconds. Join the fun!

The Club, along with the University of Oregon alumni group, will be getting together to watch the Bruins and Ducks battle it our on the gridiron this Saturday. Come join the fun at M.V.P. Sports Grill, downtown Sacramento, at 7:00 PM.
Also, next Thursday is our quarterly Networking Mixer at Capitol Garage from 5:30 PM - 7:30 PM. Come enjoy some drinks, a few appetizers, and make important network connections with fellow Bruins. This event will have a no host bar and no RSVP is necessary. For more information, please contact Michelle Samore at msamore@ucla.edu.
Finally, if you want to go on the bus trip to the Cal game on October 25th, you need to complete this NEW online survey so we know whether you want to attend the Bruin Bash party in addition to the game. We have the tickets in hand and will be going!
